Looking for an ERP Solution that Can Handle Your Mobile Workforce Requirements? Read on…

Is mobile workforce management (MWM) the same as field service management (FSM)? Many people use the two terms interchangeably. Others make a fine distinction between the two – mobile workforce management being the scheduling and overall administration of people in the field while field service management is focused on the scheduling of the installation, repair, and maintenance of physical assets in the field.

You can’t have one without the other

I respect that distinction and yet I see them as two sides of the same coin because you really can’t have one without the other. Scheduling the installation, repair, or maintenance of physical assets in the field requires the scheduling of the field service technicians who are going to conduct those services.

There’s another commonality between the two, which is the fact that many ERP software solutions do not support either or both. Supporting a mobile workforce and the assets they maintain requires specialized functionality to optimize both.

In theory, you can take almost any ERP solution and bolt a third party field service component onto it. But why would you want to do that as opposed to purchasing an ERP software system that natively integrates MWM and FSM?

Choose Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Field Service

Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Field Service is powered by the Microsoft cloud. The top 3 business benefits are:

  1. Revolutionizing the customer experience by keeping your customers informed during every interaction of the service lifecycle to increase brand loyalty and advocacy.

  2. Increasing top line revenue growth by transforming your field service organization from a reactive to a proactive service model that improves customer satisfaction and drives revenue.

  3. Reducing the cost to service using automation, analytics, and intelligence to provide predictive maintenance and allow technicians to become more productive.

You’ll find that Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Field Service will increase customer satisfaction with intelligent scheduling, native mobile support, and remote asset monitoring to get the job done right the first time. The solution also provides optimized vehicle routing, contract management, inventory management, and a 360-degree view of customer and case history from the field.

Just imagine how much happier your field service employees will be with all of that at their fingertips.
