What’s New: Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Financials

Microsoft is constantly adding new features to the Financials application. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Roadmap details features that are newly available, in development, or previously released. Investing now with this solution allows you to continually benefit from the new features being released regularly. By continually releasing new features and updates, Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Financials makes running your business seamless and efficient.

Direct Transfers

Microsoft has made it easier to create transfer orders. Customers no longer need to use an in-transit location. Instead, they can receive items immediately at the transfer-to location, just by choosing the Direct Transfer check box on the transfer order.

When you transfer directly, you can ensure that you ship the correct amount. You can only change the Qty. to Ship field on transfer order lines. The Qty. to Receive field is locked with the same value as the quantity to ship.

You can easily identify the transfers you made directly, just by looking at the lists of posted transfer shipments and posted transfer receipts.

Interaction Log

Enhancements to the interaction log let you rest assured your quotes and orders were actually sent by email. If the Suite user experience is enabled, you can view the interaction log directly from the order. What’s more, you can add comments about opportunities and interactions.

Power BI Reporting

Gaining impactful business insights is a snap with Dynamics 365 for Financials and Power BI.

Financials provides Business Intelligence in the place and time you need it. With the new Power BI reporting control, you can better leverage your Power BI reports by making them visible from within the most highly-used lists in Financials.

Not only are you able to view Power BI reports you select, but you can also interact and filter the reports by simply selecting records from the associated list page.

Rapid Start Configuration

Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Financials comes with purpose-built assisted setup guides that make it easy to migrate master data, and some transactional data, from finance apps such as QuickBooks.

In some cases, you might want to migrate data from an app that we don’t have a guide for. Don’t worry, we can help you with that as well. You can now use Rapid Start configuration packages to migrate data to Financials from a text-based output file.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Roadmap is where partners and users can go to find out what is being made generally available and what is in development. The Dynamics 365 Roadmap provides a snapshot of what Microsoft is working on and when you’ll be able to access new updates and features. All dates and features that are in development are preliminary, are based on current expectations, and are subject to change without notice.
